Looking for something fun to do with family or your quarantine pals on Valentine's weekend? Here's a fun idea! Just like many other cities, Houston has a vibrant art scene. Check out these two love-themed murals in the Heights area and snap a few fun (or mushy) pictures.
This mural by Ruben Rojas which simply states, "I AM LOVE" is located at 540 W. 19th St.

The "I Love You Wall" by artist, Shelbi Nicole is just a 6-minute walk away (or 2 minutes if you prefer to drive) located at 350 W. 19th St. Getting a great shot here can be a little tricky depending on the time of day you decide to go. There is a row of parking spaces adjacent to the wall so you (or your photographer) may have to get creative with camera angles.
I got lucky on the Saturday evening I visited the "I Love You Wall". One of the parking spaces directly in front of the mural was empty!
Fun Fact: There's a cool story behind the creation of this wall. Check it out here
If you're not from Houston but you love this idea, do a quick Google search of murals or street art in your city. I'm sure you'll find some really LOVELY installations that would make a perfect backdrop for Valentine's Day pictures.
Absolutely beautiful! That's an awesome idea and different. LOVE IT!
